Current Focus:      To self-publish my book which is non-fiction and details the Unjust Adoption that devastated our family. I’m adamant about not looking back at the past, and enjoying the gift that’s the present, looking forward to what the future brings.  I am so passionate about raising my kids and nurturing my students by hand. I’m focused on happiness, spending quality time, finding the beauty in all things, photographing sunsets around the globe ….

Some of My Talents:     Teaching, parenting, cooking & food design, party planning,  interior/exterior design, vacation and road trip planning, coordinating and cooking massive amounts of food for the weekend BBQ’s, reading aloud to others, photography, painting with puffy paint, showing my love, writing; and my revolving door of house guests tell me I’m a gracious and hospitable hostess.

Favorite KJV Bible Verses:

* Ephesians 6:12     ‘ For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places ‘

* John 3:16     ‘ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life ‘     * On July 14, 2015 I got John 3:16 tattooed across my knuckles and I absolutely love that it represents who I am now and what I believe…. ( with blessings, I covered the tattoos I got when I was 12 .)

My Favorite Writers:     Pat Conroy, Elie Wiesel, Joyce Meyer, Edgar Allen Poe, Donald Goines, Walt Whitman, Anne Frank, Sun Tzu, E L James, Dante Alighieri, Stephen King, Shel Silverstein, Ransom Riggs

Things I’m Looking Forward To:     Having a relationship with my niece, visiting the places on my ‘wish list’, getting my house boat, decorating my new classroom, watching the kids grow up, getting more grounded in my faith, the printing of my books, being fluent in Spanish and Sign Language. learning more of the Bible every day.

Things I’m Thankful For:     My family and loving protectors, my relationship with God that continues to get stronger, that God gave me many talents, that I learned from mistakes I made, the food, shelter, and clothing we have. I’m so thankful that my eyes have been ‘opened’ and now I see things differently, people who have loved me and stuck by me through all this pain. I’m thankful for feeling safe, secure, loved, appreciated, and valued. And reminded that I’m beautiful inside and out, I’m grateful to serve my beloved students with noticeable passion for their education, care, and well-being. I feel blessed and patient. I just feel so good and nothing and no one will take my happiness.

Hurts I Will Never Get Over, Regardless:     ( Very personal and very candid )

❤  Losing my grandmother. She and I were so close and her passing was so unexpected. I’m still trying to find my way without her….

❤  Losing my first love to a motorcycle accident. He was so strong, loving, and protective that I thought he was invincible. I dream about him and I am still very much grieving the loss of him. I loved him and he loved me back and from the moment I met him when I was twelve, he was a part of me. I’ll miss him for all time, and every time I even hear a motorcycle, my stomach turns. My heart aches for the presence of him ….

❤  Not knowing whatever became of my friend who tried to commit suicide. She stabbed herself in the stomach and had more than 55 staples from her sternum to below her belly button. I still cannot get that image out of my mind. I went to visit her the first two days she was there, and the third day I went to visit, the staff informed me that she had left in the middle of the night, her life was in grave danger and if I found her, to get her back to the hospital immediately. I nor any of my friends ever saw her or heard what happened to her. This has weighed my heart down since I was a sophomore in high school and will haunt me until my dying day ….
